Fallout 4
Fallout 4 is the illustrious installment in the Fallout franchise, released in 2015 by Bethesda Game Studios and Bethesda Softworks. The game takes place post-apocalyptic Boston, Massachusetts (referred to as “The Commonwealth”), where famous landmarks like Bunker Hill, Fort Independence, and Old North Bridge near Concord serve as the bridge out of Sanctuary Hills. With an expansive open world environment and immersive storyline, Fallout 4 promises intense action-roleplay for PlayStation 4, Windows PC, and Xbox One users alike.
Set in the post-apocalyptic world of 2287, two hundred and ten years after “The Great War,” Fallout 4 is the fourth installment in the Fallout series. An underground nuclear fallout shelter called Vault 111 holds the Sole Survivor: a character who has awoken from cryogenic stasis to find their spouse murdered and their son kidnapped. The player sets off on a journey through the ruined landscape of the Commonwealth, completing missions, helping factions, and gaining experience points to upgrade abilities. A new feature in this addition is an extensive crafting system; materials scavenged from the environment can be used to craft drugs, explosives, and improve both weapons and armor. In addition to that, players can build settlements. The protagonist is voiced for the first time ever; Fallout 4 truly stands alone as an advanced installment in this beloved franchise.
